We really enjoyed our meal. Affordable for sushi, very fresh seafood, good rice and decent soup. Interesting service…. little electric trains deliver the ordered dishes. Of course the sushi train is also in rotation with plenty of options. The table service is a little lacklustre. The bathrooms weren’t very pleasant but overall the food makes it a great place to stop for a sushi fix. Very much appreciate the chefs knife skills.

Double sushi train! Great range of Delicious Japanese dishes from sushi and donburi to ramen, dumplings and more. Super cute and authentic Japanese aesthetic with conveyor sushi and an electric bullet train which delivers your food order. Dishes are beautifully presented, fresh and tasty! Very minimal table service and you cant split the bill, but otherwise a fun and wonderful dining experience. Look forward to visiting again 😁

Was here 5 years ago (Refer to first pic). Visited here again out of randomness, doesn’t disappoint! One of the best teriyaki eel in New Zealand.

Such a cool restaurant! They have a sushi train, and also you can order mains that arrive on the bullet train. Great atmosphere and defs recommend

We’ve visited Edo several times in the past but it’s only recently we’ve seen the place upgraded to a sushi train restaurant and gives the place a more authentic Japanese experience. The udon noodle soups, tempura, and the shoyu ramen tasted great with the proper flavours. But I did find the sushi a bit tough, especially the teriyaki eel and squid. Hopefully the experience is better with more people as we came in at a more quieter time. Edo is still our go to place in Hamilton and they have a great variety of options in the menu for a Japanese place in NZ.
